Aldec to Address Biggest Safety and Mission-Critical Verification Challenges in Electronic Warfare at EWCI in India
Bangalore, India – February 20, 2012 – Aldec, Inc., a pioneer in mixed HDL language simulation and hardware-assisted verification solutions, joins Agilent, Rohde & Schwarz, National Instruments and other top tier exhibitors as a Sponsor of the Intl. Conference on Electronic Warfare (EWCI), a forum for the exchange of new knowledge in latest EW Technologies and Systems.
At the conference, Aldec will showcase a variety of its innovative products that address verification needs of engineers crafting tomorrow’s cutting-edge SoC devices. Aldec continues driving productivity and innovation by addressing a wide area of verification requirements – from block, to chip, to system level – and supporting UVM-based verification environments (SystemVerilog), TLM-driven verification flows (C/C++, SystemC, Simulink), embedded processor systems verification (ARM, MicroBlaze, Nios), in-hardware validation (DO-254), space-flight system designs prototyping, and automated code reviews based on advanced static design analysis (Linting) engine.
Taking part in the conference’s track on Electronic Warfare Systems, Aldec will present a requirements-based testing approach for mission critical applications: ‘FPGA Level In-Target Testing for DO-254 Compliance’. Standards for safety- and mission-critical applications such as DO-254 define a set of verification objectives that present several new challenges to design and verification engineers. This presentation outlines the most significant challenges that can be encountered during hardware verification of FPGA designs under DO-254 guidelines and proposes a verification methodology that replays RTL simulation during hardware testing at full speed utilizing the same simulation testbench as test vectors.
