What should I do when the board is not booting up after power up?

Solution

If the HES7 board is not starting after turning on the power supply, please check if the PCI-Express cable is connected correctly to the CON1 power connector and the power supplier is working correctly. Please also check if all minimum HES7 power supply requirements are met. See What is the recommended power supplier for HES7XV690-4000BP boards?

The next step is to check if any of the red LEDs (D10 or D11) are turned on. If D10 or D11 are turned on, it means that at least one of the power supply voltages caused a problem. Please check the exact error code with the LEDs D2-9 status code table from the technical specification, and report it to technical support.

It is possible to restart the power supply on the HES7 board by pushing the S1 tact switch or restarting the power supplier connected to CON1 on HES7 in case of power supply problems, but this operation should not be repeated more than two times.

NOTE: All power supply deviations should be reported to technical support with the exact error code from LEDs D2-D11.
