Switching the PCI-Express interface between connectors, is based on the high speed switch IC dedicated for PCI-Express applications and is automatic. The PCI-Express switch is configured to detect PCI-E connection automatically, but it needs to be noted that simultaneous connection of cable and edge connectors to the PCI-Express interface is prohibited. You just need to make sure that only one PCI-Express interface is used.
