How to move my personal preferences from one installation of Active-HDL to another?

I recently changed my working computer and would like to move all of my preferences from my old computer to a new one. Is there a file or set of files that can transfer all the same settings and preferences in the new installation of Active-HDL?

Solution

You can move your preferences from one machine to another, also between different versions.

To do that in Windows explorer:

Please navigate to BIN subfolder of Active-HDL.
Execute prefman.exe .
Select and export desired version.
Copy exported file to a new computer and then import it.
Re-launch the tool on the new computer to apply imported settings.
