VHDL Programming Language Interface (VHPI)

Category : Simulation/Verification

The VHPI interface provides a standard means to access data in VHDL models elaborated in Active-HDL and Riviera-PRO. The interface is implemented as a library of C functions. The VHPI implementation in the simulator complies with the standards being developed by IEEE and provides the following functionality:

  • Access to Static VHDL Design Data
  • Access to Dynamic VHDL Objects
  • Simulation Interaction and Control
  • Foreign Model Instantiation and Intercommunication Mechanism
