Transaction-Level Visual Debugging

Category : Simulation/Verification

Transaction-Level Visual Debugging refers to advanced capability of the Waveform Viewer that enables representing simulation data at a higher level of abstraction. TL models describe a system in terms of transactions – abstract interactions between functional units. Compared to the signal activity level, transaction level is much easier to comprehend, analyze, and debug.
Riviera-PRO provides set of built-in Verilog/SystemVerilog and VHDL subroutines for recording of transaction-level data during the simulation. Recorded transactions can be displayed and analyzed in the Waveform Viewer.
