Complex FPGA projects are often managed between various teams and require collaboration between team members. It’s crucial to have a powerful design management tool that allows teams to collaborate on projects rapidly. Design management within Active-HDL is configurable to accommodate team settings. It allows users to create user-defined design structure which can separate files based on their extension – for example, library files can be separated from source files automatically. It allows teams to create design structure that is compatible with synthesis and place and route tools to maintain common design structure throughout the FPGA design flow. All these customizations can be easily applied to single or multiple computers using configuration files.
