"Browser.dat could not be opened" error during Active-HDL installation


The above error may appear for the following reasons:

  1. There are no rights to write to disk with Windows installed

  2. When it is not possible to overwrite/write the browser.dat file inside the installation

Please try rebooting your computer in safe mode and then perform installation with administrator privileges. If you are still receiving this error, please contact our support team through our Support Portal.
