I downloaded ActiveHDL83_main_installation.exe from your web site. When I run it, I received messages about validation check of the archive, followed by extraction of cab files, then the status window closes itself and nothing else happens. Yet the task was still present in the task manager, even an old one completed days later. What happened?
Occasionally, we see similar cases. It is a known problem for InstallShield applications (not only for Aldec) and strictly related to user's computer. There are some factors on your machine that holds the setup process from starting. It could be anti-virus, MS Defender, MS Office or something else.
The best solution is to reboot your computer to Safe Mode and perform installation there.
