Selecting Columns

Is column selection and editing supported in the HDL editor of Active HDL

Solution

The HDL Editor allows you to select text by columns. To make a column selection, hold down the Alt key and select the desired text using the mouse in the same manner as for regular selections. You can copy the selection (see the Clipboard Operations section below) and paste it in any place of a document.

The Column Selection mode can also be turned on and off by using the keyboard. To toggle the mode, choose Alt+C on your keyboard or click the Column selection icon on the toolbar.
