Customizing Waveforms to Suit Your Own Needs

Waveforms can be customized to suit your own needs and improve productivity.

For example, you can view more signals at the same time by changing the size of the waveform to a smaller size. Another example is to highlight a certain value by changing the color of that value. You can also group signals or have visible grids.

Active-HDL uses Accelerated Waveform Viewer.

  • To customize the appearance of the Accelerated Waveform Viewer, please go to:

    Tools | Preferences | Environment | Appearances |

Then, under the Window list, select Accelerated Waveform and customize it accordingly.

  • To customize the display and behavior of the Accelerated Waveform, please go to:

Tools | Preferences | Editors | Accelerated Waveform Viewer

Then, select Display or a subcategory under Behavior and customize it accordingly.
